i got my ass whacked by sensei because i was moving too slowly on the dojo.
actually not really whacked, but it was more like a firm nudge.
it's a nice feeling. not the ass getting whacked part, but the お久しぶり feeling when i wore my bogu. it was incredible, really. it felt so nostalgic i wanted to whisper to it,

'i missed you.'

sometimes i do feel like that.
like my bogu is a person, like it's someone strong and protective of me.
which is quite fitting, i figure, since 'bogu' means literally 'to protect'.

強くする。早くする。僕は成りたい。
自分のためにだけ。
今、そ思った。

i guess i ll stop rambling about my kendo protection equipment, or else people will start thinking that i have some screw loose, but really, unless you practice kendo, i dont think you will understand what i mean. it's the literal 'blank' feeling i get when people ask me what i 'can get' from practising kendo. if i really 'could get' something tangible, that i could describe to people, then i figure the number of practising kendo ka in singapore, or around the world, for that matter, would not just be the rather small number as it is now.

i dont know how else to put it, but
その気持ちはいいです。
心の中に、静かです。

alright.
nothing much going on in my not-so-amusing life with the exception of the occasional [okay, maybe not occasional, frequent is more accurate] fall, slowly-recovering injury[ies], multiple mosquito bites [which i attribute to the greatness of the rainfall during the past few days], yada yada. i'm really bored in hall these few days during the afternoons and mornings, so ask me out if you need entertainment, because that's how humans survive, we annoy, we irritate, we entertain each other in order to prolong/shorten [depending on how you see it] our/each others' existence.

i still haven't really started on my japanese language revision, so im pretty much behind time for that. there are a couple of things i want to do this holiday, so maybe i should just write them down...

i have 27 hours of transcribing to clear this holiday, which should be do-able, i guess...
sigh...

sets in less than 3 hours time.
