finally decided to give my holga 120s away.
looking back it's been almost 3? years since i picked up lomography.
it's been a rather bumpy ride-
ups and downs, excitements and disappointments,
trying to figure things out and the occasional strokes of luck and brilliance-
i know i'm getting better and better at visualizing things but still i am constantly disappointed at how over-optimistic i am with lighting (some of the photos always end up underexposed, duh)
had a few cameras come and go-
an ikimono 110, fisheye traveller camera, split cam, and a fisheye 2 camera.
now all i have left is the diana night cap, chelsea golden half and the holga 120s.
it's time to give away the baby and spread the joy and fun of random photography.
lomography, i love it, yes it is because i am a lazy person, but much more because photography doesn't always have to be down to the nitty gritty details, the specs and everything (though i must agree you must grasp the basic knowledge of exposure, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, framing etc);
photography (in my humble opinion) should be about how you feel, not what you think-
which is why lomography is so special/irreplaceable
sometimes it's random things/times in life that are the sparks that make life/living worthwhile.
so goodbye my holga-
i hope that your next owner will cherish you,
and love you and lomography more than anything.
