[Brighton] was small and quirky, roger [the bed and breakfast uncle] was super friendly and warm and fuzzy, the beach was windy and nice, and stuff there was cheap [not quite as expensive as london anyway], food there was quite nice [we had decent japanese for lunch, nice italian, and i had toffee apples! yum!] and the language people spoke[english, duh], we could understand.
should have saved the money we set aside to go paris to go amsterdam instead-
[what's there in amsterdam? Marc recommended it.]
the typewriter is f***ing heavy and i lugged it in it's carrycase all the way from brighton back to london. and now it's taking up 2/3 of my luggage space. i can so imagine my mom's reaction when i tell her i bought a typewriter that takes up almost all of my luggage space. [luckily i bought her a longchamp bag so hopefully that makes up for it-]
and the store/flea market owner left me with this as i walked away, typewriter in case-
'good luck with your first novel'
