when the young dude interviewing me asked me if i like branded goods i did a mental run-through of my outfit:
--------------------------
dress- online, $14
blazer-g2000 sale, $29
necklace- gift from mel
bag- online, $10
shoes - bugis, $10
new shoes in bag - zara $59.90 (is this considered branded? hmmmm...)

the first thought was, 'he must have seen the new zara paper bag and thought i went shopping'
[which is what i did actually, HA!]

the new shoes were a MUST purchase, for work, cause somehow the colour was just the fantastic right shade of nude i had been looking for for like ages (nude is perfect for matching anything). and the price was labelled 'special price' so i kind of just bought it. my first pair of ZARA heels.
honestly usually anything beyond $15 is not what i would pay for something to cover my feet unless i really really like/liked it but i really really did like this pair. so WHAM! i decided just bought it instore in less than 10 minutes.

arguably the most expensive thing 'on' me was my wallet, which he couldn't/didn't see, inside my bag, which is from Kate spade, which is kind of branded i guess, but once again, it was purchased ON SALE, and kind of like a mini-encouragement to myself as a kind of transition-into-working-life present i got myself. i anticipated my forever 21 $15 wallet would start falling apart someday soon anyway.

[all this going/went on through my head for less than 3 seconds]

and then i replied,

'ERRRRrrrrr..... i guess not really.'
