lam1201: interesting already. my [already] very large circle of malaysian friends and contacts [which is widening] provides a large network for support and i see this as a rather useful subject
pl4208: counseling psychology. need i even explain the importance? the large element of group project assessment puts me off a little. and that besides desiree [who actually i dont really know well either] no one else i know is taking the module means im doing projects with strangers, which could be a good/bad thing. ambivalence ensues.
pl4217: haven't gone to the lecture yet, but it's tmr. However cognitive psychology is my topic of interest, and dr. annett schirmer [like prof trevor penney] is one of the profs i would love to take a module under before graduating. desiree and andrew are taking this module [yayness for convenience of doing group projects], besides, taking a module with the name 'neuroscience' in it sounds smashing exciting [i just like how it sounds you know]
pl4225: initially i was put off by the module name and lecturer but it's not as 'soft' as i imagined, and i'm rather spurred and driven by what dr. tang is focusing on. Gender is a core that is really relevant and interesting, and i have a feeling that, like the module, dr. tang is just really nice and misunderstood. and seems like i got nice and intelligent group mates. smashing.
pl4208: addictive behaviours is definitely gonna be a relevant topic with the IR coming up and the talk of gambling addictions and more recent problems like gaming/online shopping addictions. angel is taking this module, and her friend, who is quite awesome [my gut tells me]. big plus.
i want to take everything already.
you know, the thing is, once you break up and form your project groups you already feel this moral obligation not to drop the module and to remain in the group cause you're being inhumanely irresponsible by dropping the mod and disappearing from lecture 2 onwards [which may not be a bad thing actually since less group members = easier to coordinate meeting timings, project need not be so fragmented, yada yada]
but ya, dilema.
ok, just need time to think rationally and then decide.
this will all have to work out along with my part-time job, and possibly volunteering at a psych-related setting.
everything will roll out fine.
all As this semester.
this is my last chance.
