"Don't have to torture yourself la. You are hot the way you are."

It's incredibly amazing how i know a statement is totally untrue but remain touched by it's originator's sincerity/concern nonetheless.

Beatrice: (sadly) I wish you had a pear.

Virgil: And if i had one, i would give it to you.

Finally completed reading Beatrice and Virgil after what seemed like a very long drought. Not as satisfying as life of Pi, but rather shaken still, especially after the last section, Games for Gustav. Was pondering what book to pick up next (i was hoping for fiction) so i went to ask my sister, the resident reader (and compulsive book-shopper) for recommendations, and she gushed about this-

"Essays in love" Alain De Botton

Am i sure that i want/don't want to read this?

"not trying out sex, it's like... not trying out cross-processing"
