is it true, i wonder,

that people (most people anyway) like things/people that are exotic, different, diverse-

and/but the novelty wears off after a while?

the differences that were once refreshing become incomprehensible,
the gaps that once were easy to bridge become impossible,
the people that you thought you once knew-

become strangers?

even with people/things/situations with which you are so comfortable with, so familar with-
at times you find yourself at a loss, feeling foreign, feeling strange, feeling alienated.

it's like you don't remember this place,
you don't understand this situation,
you don't know this person
(not anymore).

even with things so familar.

With things/people/situations that are foreign-
it should be more difficult, i suppose?

is it true? i wonder.

(i hope this doesn't ever happen, not to me at least)
-----------------------------------------
Nothing comes easy-

if it's not familar,
you'd just have to bridge the gap and try to overcome it,
or find ways to compromise and accept things,

otherwise you can/have to give it up altogether.

nothing ever comes easy, i think.
