The weather's been a bit too cold for comfort- people aren't dressing very warmly and i can't understand how girls can go out in the streets in just a trenchcoat in leggings when i'm freezing in my jeans?! Left my scarf in the taxi (blast it all!) but when i went shopping yesterday i hadn't seen any scarf that was nice or cheap enough- i really feel like getting one of those nice, thick, warm-looking ones but what use would i have for it when i go back to Singapore?
From yesterday's trip to oxford circus, everything is cheap and on winter sale and there's 9.99quid jeans at almost every major store but the queue for the fitting rooms are horribly daunting.

still haven't planned what to do yet for the rest of the week (besides report writing and project management which are my top priority of course), except that it's first priority on my to do list:
i have to go back to portobello market. Need. to. eat. that. red. velvet. cupcake.

and also check out the cameras and prices.

spent the most of my day trying to stay awake in fear that my flatmate would arrive and ring the buzzer and be locked out because i had fallen asleep (but when she actually buzzed, the sound was so loud i'd reckon even if i passed out i'd spring up from the bed in shock) replying emails and writing the template for the report/starting the charting a bit. Of the bit of time that i spent out tonight i had a surprisingly good time, did things that i wouldn't usually do (said'anything, i don't mind' a couple of times, and it was genuine, i really didn't mind), found out how to say 'shit!' in french ('merde!!"), that turkey has 4 seasons and also beaches on the southern sides, and that they have london tube map towels for 26 quid (goodness an expensive towel)

I guess people do surprise me-

or rather i surprise myself?
