i like travelling in a foreign place-

the unfamilar smells, sights, sounds,

the different looking people,

the diverse culture,

i like it a lot.

but sometimes being in a foreign place makes you feel inadequate-

it makes you feel strange, abnormal, unwelcome,

it's as if you're alien; you don't belong.

people would be polite to you, like a host to his guests at a party,

but being polite is just basic courtesy, and regardless,

you remain a guest, always.

that is sometimes a bit alienating.
