some people have a lot to say.

a whole damn lot, yah.

and my governance and new media class is full of such people.

i know the bloody assessment is based on forum participation posts, and the whole point of it is to encourage interactivity (which is a concept/key term that has been repeated countless times throughout this course so far) and how though the tutor and lecturer said we can reply to other people's reaction papers, but funny how nobody does, and how/cause you can immediately tell if your reaction paper is either 'BLAH' or fantastic/thoughtless, because the tutor only posts replies to papers that he finds are 'insighful' or 'good stuff.' or posts that should 'be wary' or 'be careful'
no news is good news- not really, in a sense. no news is neutral news.

for now at least i'm contented to be 'BLAH'

(i'm kind of missing prof Marlene Lee's 'good job' and 'nice work' on my weekly reviews. it's generic and everybody almost gets the same grade but you get the sense she actually bothers to take your perspective and understand what your opinion? - frmph.)

------------------------------------
it's a really damn small thing and i am nitpicky but-
(yes i agree that creativity cannot be switched on with a button)

are Lyo and Merly not creative? (shanta said so during discussion. something along the lines of YOG blah blah and all you can think of for mascots is a lion called lyo and merlion called Merly)
ok, it's a Lion, and Merlion, which is kind of literal, but how creative do you want to get? it's the Youth Olympic Games, and it's held in Singapore, and our Singapore symbol (typically) is the Lion (What Sir Stamford Raffles saw) and the most famous attraction (arguably),the merlion, so what's the problem?

creativity...

i do agree with the YOG song being horrid though- where's the creativity in it? (if there's any-_-) But qiuhan says it's a cheer, not a song, so she changed her negative opinion about it - cheers typically can't get too fantastic anyway, right? Just be happy with what you have.
(still, it's pretty awful and un-cheer-like for a cheer.)

i think Lyo and Merly are cute, leh.
(creative or not)

and they're pretty decent mascots.
