had this for dinner [for the second time] and i love/loved it!

and i love portobello mushrooms! they're so big and awesome! :)

when i was young[er],

i used to ask my mother,

'why are mushrooms not meat?'

since they're all fleshy, with colour that's brownish, and the texture is meat-like even.

you know, cause when you're in kindergarten they don't really bother/try/think it's a good idea to teach you the concept of 'fungi' and so under the 'food' chart mushroom is classified as vegetable, leaving kids like me all confused and dreary.

and then my mother would sigh and say something like 'it's just vegetables darling'

i was such an annoying/inquisitive kid.
