seriously i think im dying. i m really torn between as to just tell christina i want to quit or keep on doing this
as a good economics student, let me weigh the pros and cons and look at the opportunity costs first

the bad stuff


1. that amanda woman who just came back from batam is damn freaky. and she orders me around without giving clear orders in the first place [im ok with being ordered around but shes always damn vague and she starts yelling when she cant find her own stuff which always happens to be apparently on her own table. =_= ]
2. okay, still about her. from what christina said, i envisioned her to be a jolly nice xiao ting tong person who may be slightly plump


WRONG!
shes skinny and mean looking and she smokes. A LOT. more than boss richard and boss alan COMBINED. if its sth that turns me off, its a woman who smokes. seriously. and her make up is like a cake [worse than mrs chengs if thats earthly possible.]
but
so far, shes ok. just the smoke

arghhharghhh THE DAMN SMOKE. lucky i have my trusty cashmere scarf/shawl thing which instead of wrapping around my shoulders i wrap around my nose for dear life...
and that amanda woman looks at me like im super weird. hello, shes the weird one.


ps. her dress sense and make up sense seriously sucks. and her voice can be lower than mine if she cant find her stuff. thats damn funny la.


well. :)


also, boss alan and boss richard smoke. but thats ok cos they sit damn far from me while that A woman is like just in front of me. urgh. anyway boss alan and richard have that air purifier thing. thank god. why didnt that A woman have the common sense and consideration to get one for me.

looks like the next thing i ll be getting is a air purifier. grrr. hahaha.


3. another off side is the long bus trip and that stupid bus driver who insists that he check my ez link card under the scrutiny of every single passenger because he thinks i could be cheating SBSs money by using, say, my younger brothers ez link card when i should possibly be paying adult fare. anyway hes so sua ku he doesnt know A level graduates have like holiday from now till june next year so most of us go look for jobs.

good stuff [actually a lot]

1. helen my mentor and secretary to director is damn nice. she bought me stuff to eat the other day and thanks me everytime i do a task for her. the only time i saw her slightly miffed was when that stupid tour agency cheated her family and relatives money. some tour accomodation and giving lousier rooms in the old building instead of new ones and stuff.

2. the environment is not bad. [dismissing the OCCASIONAL smoke.]

3. boss richard is damn nice. boss alan is nice but weird. but nice.

4. the pay is damn worth it for the kind and quantity of work im doing. its quite a bargain.

5. the other people from other departments are nice. or at least ok.


anyway i guess i should have to get used to lousy working conditions. a bit of torture will make me stronger. like poor helen. she was asking me if a smoking environment was ok for me cos she said sometimes she gets really bad headaches from all the smoke from her 2 big bosses and that A woman. urgh. haha. and i was like, SAME SAME. hahaha.


a little bit of hardship would do me good. but im not planning to stay long here. probably till next year. the advertised duration was 2-3 weeks anyway. now on my 2nd week. if i cant take it i ll tahan till week 3 and get my full pay. then at least i would have come out with a experience to add to my oh-so-unimpressive-looking-cv. and lots of second hand smoke. [i heard its more deadly. well. i dont mind living not so long.]


i think i ll job hop more so can gain more experience to add stuff to my small cv.
:) im still quite in a good mood. i like this place but seriously i doubt i could ever be a permanent staff in this office. who ask me so sway/lucky to work right under the big bosses and that A woman. they give me less stuff but quite scary, esp that A woman. haha.
